Dr. Robert Wells of the USDA-ARS-National Sedimentation Laboratory and Dr. Henrique Momm of Middle Tennessee State University will lead an 8 hour workshop entitled "Philosophy, concepts, and techniques for drone surveys of terrain." The workshop will include discussion of uses of small flying vehicles for obtaining photographic terrain data, issues surrounding deployment, and procedures for data analysis including establishment of ground truth and assessment of data quality. Dr. Wells and Dr. Momm both have extensive practical experience in the use of drones and photogrammetry for collection and quantification of topographic data.
Monday, July 10
6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Join us for a buffet dinner and water sports at Mendum’s Pond on the UNH campus. Buses will take participants from the main campus to the pond where there will be a buffet dinner on the pavilion. There will be lifeguards on duty so swimming will be permitted. In addition there will be canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards available to share.

Drinks and appetizers will be provided while mingling in the exhibit hall.
Thursday, July 13
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The technical tour will include a visit to Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, which is one of the longest-operated experimental watershed study sites in the United States. Hubbard Brook is where acid rain was discovered and now features a variety of research efforts, including simulated ice storms.
A second stop will allow participants to view the Suncook River in Epson, New Hampshire, which experienced a large avulsion in 2006 and is still undergoing substantial adjustment and erosion.
Lunch will be included.

Please do not mail registration forms through the US Postal Service after June 15, 2016 in order to ensure your registration is processed by the deadline. After this date, registrations must be secured by a credit card. If you are paying by credit card, please register online or download the registration form and submit it on site along with your full credit card payment.
Confirmation will be e-mailed to all registrants within one week of registering for the Conference. Pre-registered attendees will receive their name badges and any tickets ordered at the on-site Registration Desk during registration hours.
Video and audio recording of any educational sessions is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from both ASCE and the session presenter (s).
Photograph Release: By submitting the registration form, I hereby release any photographs that may be incidentally taken of me during these events by ASCE to be used for any purpose.

Cancellations must be received by ASCE in writing. A refund will be issued, minus a $100 processing fee, if the cancellation notice is received by ASCE prior to July 1, 2017. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after July 1, 2017. Send cancellations to email@example.com.
Housing reservation cancellations must be submitted in sriting and mailed to University of New Hampshire, Conferences and Catering, Stillings Hall, Room G55, 20 Ballard Street, Durham, NH 03824. Refunds, less a cancellation fee of $40, will be given if a cancellation is received 15 days prior to check-in. There will be no refunds for cancellations received less that 15 days prior to your scheduled check-in date. There will be no refunds for nights not stayed.
ASCE reserves the right to cancel programs and/or sessions because of low registration. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, all registrants will be notified and will receive a full refund, if applicable. Programs and sessions are subject to change, and ASCE reserves the right to substitute a program, session, and/or speaker of equal caliber to fulfill the educational requirements.
